The Greater Pittsburgh Inaugural Day of Racial/Ethnic Healing celebrates all ethnic and racial groups, raises awareness of the need for ethnic/racial healing, and encourages individual and collective acts of love and healing towards all of our neighbors. The ceremony will feature The Honorable, Ed Gainey, Mayor of Pittsburgh making the Day of Racial Healing Proclamation presentation; and will also highlight the Allegheny County Day of Racial Healing Proclamation prepared by Allegheny County Executive Fitzgerald, review the work of the Racial Equity Subcommittee of Welcoming Pittsburgh/Allegheny County Immigrant and International Advisory Council, and offer participation in the Good Samaritan ACTS of Healing Initiative. Social distancing and mandatory mask adherence will be required for this indoor event.
